We are currently looking for person with extended technical background to join our IT INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT as SAP BASIS SENIOR CONSULTANT.

What you will do:

• You will ensure the efficient resolution of internal and external customer requests, respecting the internal policies/ procedures and the approved SLA level.
• For requests that cannot be resolved directly, you will mediate the interaction between the client and the final service provider, giving priority and respecting escalation procedures.
• You will collaborate with internal teams from the IT, Digital and Innovation Division to efficiently solve the requests of internal customers.
• You will manage the operational activities carried out daily within the systems in your area of responsibility such as: monitoring the performance of SAP systems, archiving, electronic signature, implementing measures to ensure the level of performance and availability agreed within the company, access management, user management, carrying out transports , process management, etc.
• You will manage and implement changes at the level of the SAP system (CS) using a structured approach that minimizes risks and ensures security.
• You will develop correct and descriptive work procedures for the area of activity for which you will be responsible and you will ensure their implementation.
• You will configure the interfaces between SAP systems and other external systems.
• You will be involved in the analysis and definition of the architecture of SAP on medium and long term perspectives.
• You will manage SAP instances (application servers and databases) for productive/ test/ development/ training environments.
• You will manage hardware resources, operating systems, databases and application instances for SAP systems.
• You will monitor the loading of systems in the area of responsibility and ensure their availability and performance according to the indicators established within the company, developing strategies and implementing optimization measures at the level of allocated hardware resources (CPU, RAM, DISK), databases and application instances.
• You will carry out data protection activities, check their consistency and ensure backup copies. You will carry out restoration activities and ensure replications in the DR site.
• You will ensure the transport of the new functionalities in the SAP production environment.
• You will define and plan the update application strategy for the systems in your area of responsibility (operating system update application, DB updates and in collaboration with the SAP IS team -> Notes, SAP and EHP instances).
• You will provide technical assistance and know-how transfer to colleagues, constantly checking that the level of skills acquired ensures the resolution of requests in the required quantitative and qualitative parameters.

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

• Higher studies completed with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in the IT field;
• Over 7 years of professional experience in SAP BASIS Administration in an Enterprise environment;
• Work experience in SAP BASIS: designing and implementing SAP environments and supporting infrastructure, capacity planning and correct sizing, configuring systems for high availability and ensuring data recovery in case of disaster, developing backup and recovery strategy, expanding storage systems, SAP upgrades, OS/ DB migration, system update/ client copies and administration, etc.;
• Experience in evaluating, installing, configuring and implementing SAP applications;
• Experience with SAP upgrades, including support packages and enhancement packages;
• Experience in using Unix/ Linux operating systems;
• Advanced knowledge in database administration, including performance query analysis, HA/ DR and Oracle sizing;
• Ability to work with Bash Shell;
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Romanian;
• Good analytical skills;
• Ability to prioritize;
• Attention to details.
