We are currently looking for person with extended technical background to join our IT SOLUTIONS DEPARTMENT as SCADA SENIOR ENGINEER.

What you will do:

  • You will organize the SCADA solutions design meetings and will analyze the needs of each project, establishing the technical specifications and validating the designed solutions for the systems to be implemented.
  • You will participate in the writing of specifications for the acquisition of OT software and hardware solutions. You will evaluate technical offers, providing technical justifications and proposing alternatives based on technical expertise.
  • You will evaluate the technical proposals and the architectures of the SCADA solutions proposed by the contractors in the implementation projects of Photovoltaic and Wind farms, you will clarify the technical specifications and you will ensure that they meet the ENGIE criteria for safe implementation and operation.
  • You will supervise the implementation activity of SCADA solutions for new projects and you will participate in the acceptance phase.
  • You will ensure that all the deliverables and the technical documentation of the implemented solutions are delivered by the suppliers.
  • In collaboration with the ENGIE technical teams, you will provide support in connecting the SCADA solutions from the Wind and Photovoltaic parks with the centralized solution for monitoring and reporting used within the ENGIE Group.
  • You will be responsible for the technical documentation and the inventory of the equipment and software that make up the SCADA solutions in the Photovoltaic and Wind farms.
  • You will permanently monitor the efficient operation and optimal parameters of the SCADA solutions, ensuring compliance with the SLAs defined and agreed with internal customers, in collaboration with the support and maintenance service providers, and the internal IT teams.
  • You will interact with internal decision makers and external suppliers to plan update cycles from a software point of view, as well as critical and security updates within SCADA solutions.
  • You will provide consultancy to the business team regarding the exploitation of SCADA solutions.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • At least 3 year-experience in working with OT equipment and SCADA system implementation and support projects
  • Experience in participating in the implementation and integration of SCADA systems in renewable energy parks, ensuring connectivity and interoperability with other systems and equipment:
    • Knowledge of specialized applications and algorithms: SCADA (electrical, turbine and photovoltaic), Industrial Communication Platform (OPC) applications;
    • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure: industrial communication protocols, RTU and PLC industrial equipment;
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Romanian;
  • Multitasking skills;
  • Proactivity;
  • Teamwork skills;

 

Represents advantage:
