Asset Registration Advisor

Requisition ID:  27063
Location:

Houston, US, 77056

What You Can Expect

The Asset Registration Advisor’s main responsibility is to register large-scale, wind, solar, and battery storage, new projects with local and state government, various regulatory agencies, and Independent System Operators (ISOs). This application process involves gaining access to the ISO registration systems and portals via digital certificates provided by an ENGIE User System Administrator (USA). You'll be tasked with acquiring registration requirements, by reading and researching agreements, while communicating with various entities in order to register our renewable assets to the proper regulatory entity. You will be responsible for attending weekly calls to provide project managers and cross-functional teams with updates on registration status and progress. Guided by the Asset Registration Sr. Advisor, and other project managers, you'll follow procedures for submitting applications to the ISO and state regulatory agencies, receiving and providing additional information as needed to complete the registration process. You'll also register and qualify our renewable energy sites, schedule testing with third parties, and submit testing reports to the ISO. Monitoring the project’s testing for compliance and making recommendations for corrective actions, if necessary, will be also part of your role.

  • After initial registration is complete, you'll maintain project updates, submit monthly reports to regulatory authorities, and submit completion orders and route information to ENGIE’s operations team.
  • You'll also register qualified renewable facilities for any Renewable Energy Credit (REC) programs they may qualify with the designated ISO and state agency. Next, during the commissioning period, all projects must be meticulously tested.
  • You will also monitor and assist with these commissioning efforts.
  • You will assist with providing test results to the designated ISO and reporting, in a timely manner, when test results are available.
  • You will also assist in re-scheduling any re-test and provide rapid  return.
  • Your work will be based out of the Houston office with a hybrid work schedule. While testing is primarily done virtually, occasional site visits may be required quarterly to ensure production meets application requirements and to familiarize yourself with project progress.
  • Strong communication is essential for professionally interacting with external regulatory agencies, as well as senior leadership and management, regarding various project information
